Day 1: Rome full day driving
tour (8 hours)
In the morning, pick up from the
Airport and taken to your hotel for check in.
You will begin your exciting discovery of Rome, by way of an
8-hour driving tour with a local driver-guide. Sites will include
the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, Capitol Hill,
Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, St. Peter Basilica, Gianicolo's
Hill, the Jewish quarter
and the Catacombs. Lunch will be available in a typical restaurant
on the Appian way.
Afterwards you will visit the Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Circus
Maximus and the Key Hole.
Van and driver-guide will be at your disposal for shopping.

Day 2: Vatican walking tour
(3 hours)
The guide will meet you at
the hotel. You will be escorted on a 3-hour walking tour
with your guide-driver. Sites will include the Vatican Museums,
Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.
Learn with us the meaning of Greek and Roman ancient art, and
view stunning works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio.

Day 3: Pompeii
and Amalfi Coast (11 hours)
This is a full day private tour
from Rome to Pompeii, Positano and returning to Rome. It is
a
van and walking tour to discover the most well preserved archeological
area in the world as well as the spectacular Amalfi Coast.
After a pleasant drive along the mountainous landscape of Latium
and Campania, we will reach Pompeii. It is set to the southwest
of Mt. Vesuvius, not far from the Gulf of Naples. Pompeii is
known throughout the world for its tragic destruction in 79
AD as a result of the eruption of the Vesuvius volcano. It was
miraculously discovery in the 18th century.
There are only a few other excavations in Italy that have such
an obvious indication of just how the ancient Romans organized
a city. You will see a particularly complete example of a market
town, with clear distinctions between businesses, government,
residential and public areas. During the walk among the well
preserved buildings, you will learn about the daily life, religious
beliefs and government organization in ancient Pompeii. There
will be a 2-hour private tour with a local guide. After a spectacular
drive along the stunning Sorrentina and Amalfi coasts, we'll
reach Positano. Lunch will be served in a typical local restaurant
with a marvelous view of the thyrrenian sea. This small fishing
village is where the mountains rise, and they are covered by
terraced white houses, gorgeous gardens and belvederes that
all seem to tumble down to the see.

Day 4: full
day tour on the Route between Rome and Florence (10 hours)
Our first stop will be in Orvieto
to visit to this picturesque hill town in Umbria.
Its Medieval appearance has been preserved with its beautiful
Romanesque and Gothic buildings. It is also famous for its fine
wines, creative and colorful pottery and artisan shops. Our
next stop will be Siena, the second most interesting town in
Tuscany after Florence. Lunch will be served in a typical restaurant.
On our way back to Florence, we'll stop in San Gimignano, a
charming hill town which also has its Medieval look intact more
completely than any other town in Tuscany. It is famous for
numerous towers which make it conspicuous from a great distance.
It also provides one of the most remarkable views in Italy,
overlooking the surrounding rich agricultural land. It is here
that its famous wine, notably the Vernaccia, has been produced
since the 14th century. We'll then drive straight to Florence.

Driving times: From Rome to Orvieto
takes 1 hour. To Siena takes 1 hour and 40 minutes.
To San Gimignano takes 40 minutes. |

Day 5: Florence
and Chianti area (8 hours)
This is a full day driving tour.
Our tour-manager will pick you up at your hotel in Florence.
Sites will include the Cathedral of St. Maria del Fiore, Piazza
Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio. We'll
continue our tour through the Chianti district, Tuscany's
most famous wine making region to indulge in some wine tasting.

Driving times: From Florence
to Chianti takes 45 minutes.

Day 6:Full day private tour
from Florence to Lucca and Pisa and then back to Florence.
After a lovely drive through the
beautiful Tuscan countryside, we'll reach Lucca. It is one
of the most beautiful small towns in Tuscany and is surrounded
by magnificent 16th and 17th century ramparts. These are the
most remarkable features because they preserve much of its Roman
street plan and is especially rich in Romanesque churches.
Next stop will be in Pisa, a beautiful town located a few miles
from the mouth of the Arno
River, and just a few miles from its Piazza del Duomo. Here
you will see the beautiful Cathedral, the unique Leaning Tower
and the Baptistery. There are more splendid monuments to see
that were built during the 11th and 12th centuries which was
when Pisa was a great Maritime Republic.

Driving times: From Florence to
Pisa takes 1 hour. To Lucca takes 1 hour.

Day 7: full
day tour on the route between Florence and Venice (8 hours)
The first stop will be in Bologna
for a 2-hour tour with a local guide. Then lunch will be
served in a lovely restaurant.
We'll then drive to Padua where you will see some of its art
treasures including the popular Basilica of St. Anthony. All
are masterpieces from Italian art history. After driving a
short distance, we'll be in the magnificent city of Venice.
Your private boat and escort will pick you up in the main
square of Venice's Piazzale Roma and take you to your hotel.

Driving times: From Florence to Bologna
takes 1 hour. To Padua takes 1 hour. To Venice takes 30 minutes.

Day 8: Venice (7 hours)
In the morning, there will be
a 3-hour walking tour with a local guide. Sites will include
St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Rialto Bridge.
Lunch will be served in a lovely
restaurant. You'll then be escorted to Murano Island to have
the opportunity to visit a glass factory where you will learn
about the art of blowing
glass.
Overnight in Venice.

Day 9: full day tour on the
route between Venice and Assisi (9 hours)
After a lovely drive along
the Adriatic Coast we'll reach Ravenna.
There you will have the opportunity for a visit and wander on
your own to experience
the highlights of this wonderful Bizantine citadel.
We'll then drive to Assisi, a well preserved Medieval town in
the region of Umbria. It has
always been considered one of the most beautiful sights of Italy.
Upon entering the town, you will inevitably sense the Franciscan
atmosphere. Historical literature has always considered this
small town to be the city of St. Francis who was born and raised
there.
Overnight in Assisi.
Driving times: From Venice to Ravenna takes 1 hour and 50 minutes.
To Assisi takes 2 hours and 40 minutes. |

Day 10: Tivoli (6 hours)
We'll take highway A1 and drive
heading souht towards the Lazio region to discover Tivoli. this
citadel offers you the opportunity to discover the beauties
of the archeological site of the Roman Villa Adriana and the
Renaissance Villa D'Este. They are splendid villas from two
different ages. Lunch time will be served in an authentic local
restaurant.
Transfer to Rome
Overnight in Rome.
Driving times: From Assisi to
Tivoli takes 2 hours. To Rome takes 40 minutes. |

Day 11: Transfer to the airport
In the morning we'll pick
you up from your hotel to transfer you to Leonardi Da Vinci
Airport. |
