This is our 10-hour private driving tour through the peaceful citadel of Cortona. There will also be a stop at Gubbio, one of the most ancient towns of Umbria.

The car will pick you up at your hotel
in Florence and you'll be driven to Cortona, a lovely little village. This specific village was mentioned in the novel, 'Under the Tuscan Sun', by the American author, Frances Mayer.
This picturesque citadel city has many olive groves and vineyards reaching up along its walls.
There are also interesting Renaissance constructions, churches and two museums. They contain
masterpieces by the famous Baroque artists,
Luca Signorelli and Pietro da Cortona.
Your driver-guide will recommend a typical local restaurant for you to enjoy an authentic
Umbrian lunch.
We'll then continue on our tour through
the panoramic views of Lake Trasimene to reach Gubbio. Situated on the slopes of Monte Igino,
Gubbio is one of the most ancient towns in Umbria and has been extremely well preserved over the
centuries. There are many wonderful monuments that exemplify its glorious past. You will be able to
appreciate the authentic style of the 12th century Cathedral and the Consuls Palace. Today, they are
symbols of the town. The Roman Theater is located just outside of the surrounding walls. You'll want
to wander through the narrow streets where the citizens continue to live their lives with fervor and
authenticity.
We'll return to Florence in the late afternoon.

The tour is for a party of up to 8 people,
